* 6-8 months out: gather a conference committee, organise conference website (or a placeholder), confirm venues and timing, organise reviewing system (e.g., EasyChair)
* 6 months out: first Call for Participation released!
* 3 months out: deadline for submission
* 6 weeks out: announce selections, invite participants, registration opens
* etc
